Returning to coherence
Through Indigenous ceremony, tradition, and relationship with the living world
Where coherence becomes lived practice
Kaiāulu is the ceremonial heart of Coherence Lab, cultivating coherence through Indigenous wisdom, community, and relationship with Earth.
For more than a decade, this work has gathered on Kauaʻi in ceremony and council, guided by Indigenous Elders of unbroken lineages. In 2020, that practice took form as the Kaiāulu Council. In 2023, the New Moon ceremony emerged, and not a moon has been missed since.
People have joined these ceremonies more than 4,100 times, gathering from across this island, across Hawaiʻi, and from more than forty countries around Earth.
This is the ground beneath the rest of the work.
At the foundation of this work is a simple recognition: across generations, Indigenous peoples have continued to live in relationship with land, community, ceremony, prayer, and responsibility. These ways were held and carried forward.
Kaiāulu exists in service to the continuation of this wisdom through lived practice, reciprocity, and care.
Traditions and Territories
Cultural Continuation Culture continues through lived relationship. Through language, ceremony, song, land-based knowledge, and the direct transmission that takes place between Elders and those who come to learn.
Land Protection Where Indigenous communities continue to steward land, biodiversity persists. The relationship between cultural practice and land protection is foundational. They are part of the same work.
Guided Sharing These teachings and ceremonies are shared in ways guided by Elders, with care for what is appropriate to offer and how it is received.

The Ancestral Wisdom Collective
A living community guided by Indigenous Elders
Each lunar cycle, members gather to study with Indigenous Elders, practice together, and remain close to the teachings over time.
The Collective is guided by Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson and Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo of the Arhuaco people.
It is a place for those who wish to learn in sincerity, continuity, and direct relationship.
Synchronized Indigenous Ceremonies
Each New Moon, Indigenous Elders and partners from around the world gather in ceremony. You are welcome to join.
These ceremonies have been held continuously since January 2023 and are offered freely.

Beneath the visible world is an intelligence through which life continually creates and renews itself. To act from this intelligence, and direct it toward the work in front of us, is what we mean by applied coherence.
Grounded in Indigenous ceremony, relational inquiry, and sustained practice, this is the capacity Coherence Lab cultivates in ourselves, in our communities, and in the systems that shape our world.
