Ancestral Wisdom Collective
A living lunar community guided by Indigenous Elders
We are living through a time of profound change.
Across the world, ways of living in relationship with land, community, ceremony, prayer, and responsibility have continued across generations. These teachings are not new. They have helped human beings remember how to live with reverence, balance, and care.
The Ancestral Wisdom Collective grew from a simple request: to study more closely with Elders who carry these ways and live them, to remain with the teachings over time, and to gather each moon cycle in direct relationship.
A Community Formed Through Tradition and Practice
The monthly New Moon ceremony began in January 2023, born from a call by the Council of Indigenous Sages of Colombia to synchronize ceremony across the world. It has been held continuously since. Over time, people began asking for a closer way to remain with the teachings, to study with the Elders more deeply, and to interact with them more directly.
From that request, the Ancestral Wisdom Collective began to take shape in fall 2024. What emerged was a living rhythm of gathering. A place where people from many parts of the world could return each moon cycle for ceremony, teaching, and relationship grounded in continuity and care.
Four Gatherings Each Lunar Cycle
New Moon | Global Indigenous Ceremony: A free monthly ceremony open to all. Indigenous Elders from different traditions gather in prayer, song, and sacred practice. These ceremonies are offered freely and are not recorded. Their continuity matters. This shared monthly practice has remained unbroken since January 2023.
First Quarter Moon | Cultivating Coherence: A guided space for deepening intuition, listening together, and strengthening the field of practice that grows within the community.
Full Moon | Teaching with Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo: Mamo Lorenzo shares the living knowledge of the Arhuaco people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. His teachings guide members through practices of cleansing, purifying, and harmonizing, and speak to the relationship between thought, feeling, and the natural world.
Last Quarter Moon | Komike with Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson: Aunty Puna offers teaching grounded in the Hawaiian tradition. Komike means "to awaken innate wisdom." Through her guidance, members deepen their relationship with their own gifts, with one another, and with the living world around them.
Each quarter moon opens a different kind of space. Together they form the rhythm of the Collective.
What the Collective Holds
Membership includes live participation in all four quarter-moon gatherings each cycle, along with access to recorded sessions from the First Quarter, Full Moon, and Last Quarter gatherings. New Moon ceremonies are not recorded.
New members are welcomed with an orientation call to help them enter the rhythm of the community and understand the shape of each gathering. Membership also offers something increasingly rare: the opportunity to sit in a more intimate circle with Elders, to study with them over time, and to ask questions that can be met within an ongoing field of relationship.
What is most valued here cannot be reduced to a list. It is the experience of entering a circle that is already alive. The steadiness of returning each month. The chance to stay close to the teachings over time. The way relationship deepens through sincere participation, moon cycle after moon cycle.

Guided by Living Lineages
At the center of this community are Elders whose teachings arise from lived responsibility, inherited lineage, and long relationship with land, ceremony, and community.
Kumu Hula Puna Kalama Dawson carries wisdom rooted in the Hawaiian tradition and offers a form of guidance that helps people remember what is already within them and restore relationship with the larger field of life.
Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo carries the teachings of the Arhuaco people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. His presence in this community brings members into contact with a worldview shaped by spiritual responsibility to the Earth and the unseen order of life.
These teachings come through relationship, context, and care. The Collective exists to hold that responsibly.
Why People Join
People come to the Collective for different reasons.
Some have been attending the New Moon ceremonies and want a closer way to stay with the teachings over time. Some are looking for a place to ask deeper questions and learn in direct relationship with Elders. Some are seeking a steadier rhythm of practice shaped by sincerity, continuity, and care.
Many also feel the seriousness of this time on Earth and the need for ways of living rooted in deeper relationship with land, community, ceremony, and responsibility. Some arrive from places of loneliness or grief. Others come from strong communities and full lives, yet still feel the longing to sit nearer to wisdom that has been carried across generations.
What they share is a desire to learn from Elders who carry these ways and live them, and to remain close to the teachings in relationship over time.
“Being a part of Kaiāulu is a wonderful experience, sitting in circle and listening to the deep wisdom of our Kūpuna. I enjoy the profound teachings of Kumu Puna from Kauaʻi showing us the importance of embracing Aloha at this time and to live in sacred reciprocity with the ʻāina. Each teaching deepens this essence in my being. Mamo Lorenzo brings cosmic wisdom to help us in this era of change. Weaving and sharing these ancient teachings has been a dream I have had since I was a child.”
— Alison L., UK
“The deep resonance of the ancient sacred knowledge that Aunty Puna and Mamo Lorenzo share strengthens the ability to connect with Mother Nature. I am forever grateful for their work to make this ancient knowledge accessible to the world and to preserve it for future generations.”
— Sonja R., Germany
"Participating and sitting in sacred virtual circle, honoring the New Moon and the weaving of the Indigenous teachings of the present Elders from around the world, was a full body YES to continue to support this blossoming Collective. We meet at each quarter moon, laying the foundation for a harmonious cycle of learning and integration throughout the month." — Pualilia P., Kailua Kona, HI

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I cannot attend live? All sessions except the New Moon ceremonies are recorded and added to the member archive. Many members move between live attendance and recordings depending on the season they are in.
How do I know whether this is a fit for me? This community tends to resonate with people who are drawn to Indigenous wisdom, who value sincerity over performance, and who want to practice in relationship with others. You do not need to arrive with expertise. You do need a genuine willingness to listen and participate with respect.
How is this different from attending the New Moon ceremonies? The New Moon ceremony is the open foundation. Membership allows you to stay in rhythm through the full lunar cycle, including teaching sessions, guided practice, community continuity, and access to recordings.
How does the Collective approach Indigenous teachings responsibly? The Collective is guided by Indigenous Elders themselves and held in a spirit of respect, consent, continuity, and care. The purpose is not to extract teachings from their context, but to receive what is being shared in the manner it is being offered.
Is there a refund policy? Yes. We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If the Collective is not what you hoped for, we will refund your most recent month's contribution.
What if I have limited financial means? Please reach out. We work with a sliding scale and do not want finances to be the only reason someone cannot participate.
