Drai Turner
DRAI has 37 years of experience blending retail store planning, marketing and graphic design. This background has resulted in a sophisticated marriage of authoritative communications and “design for the bottom line”.
As Assistant Advertising Director for KG Retail, a 300-store national menswear chain, she developed her instinct for impactful, results-based communications.
As 1 of 3 merchandise and visual arts managers of the only American version of the infamous French Department Store Printemps, she let down her hair, and picked up the world of unimaginable creativity; and outside of the box thinking; on the sales floor, in photo shoots and in print advertising.
During her time as Director of Store Planning for Denim Works, a national specialty store chain, she honed her understanding of consumer response and pattern buying.
As one of the team of 8 who birthed Gaiam Inc. (an international sustainable products and services organization) and as their Vice President of Retail Development, she transitioned into a key mindset of Conscious Commerce as it applies to human communication in media.
In 2001 Drai launched Wild Redhead Design. Her creative solutions, speed and innovative vision as hands-on designer and brand manager have been sought after by Fortune 500s, urban entrepreneurs and sole proprietorships.
The underlying spirit to Drai’s joy and success is rooted in freelancing for conscious clients, visionary people walking gently and passionately on Mother Earth. Drai believes Team, Community, Unity and Purpose define a holistic recipe for actionable, dynamic and sustainable business.
